Once it cools, check the coolant level in the rad. Sounds like you have air in the system.

For anymore help, it would REALLY be nice to know what you are driving?

Its a 2000 honda accord 4 cyl.

poorman212 Apr 15, 2012 10:04 AM

Ok, that helps.

Again, check the level in the rad, might also bleed any air out of the system.

Any recent work done to the car? If the coolant is low,,,,,it went somewhere, there might be a leak.

The rad. Is full. Just bought a week ago. It dont do it all the time just every now and then i've had it a week now only noticed it a couple times

Keep a close eye on the level of fluid in the radiator and the tank. You want to make sure that you don't have a leak.

It could be a faulty radiator cap that suddenly can't hold pressure, then allows the coolant to boil over.
