Does anyone have a list of P Codes for a 99 V6 (J30A1)?
Also, does anyone own or know of a good scan tool that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

hey the trouble codes for that car are universal obd2 codes, i dont know if that helps, but your local parts store will read the codes for you for free. i may know the problem offhand. those j30's have one common problem. honda kinda messed up a little they thought you would be engaging the vtec system alot more than you actually do, so the egr port gets clogged up. the code may be p0401 egr low flow. honda has issued a warranty extention to 80k miles for this. if you car has more than that its going to be about 200 bucks to get it done. they basically drill a larger hole in the manifold and install a new pipe.
