P0335
I recently changed out my timing belt and now my engine is running weird. i cant rev it past 3000 rpm, it cuts off, also the car tends to die out. Any advice?

RE: P0335
Are there any codes stored in your ECU?
Did your engine run poorly immediately after changing the timing belt? I would also check the timing by lining up the crankshaft and making sure that the camshaft is at TDC. Your timing belt could have jumped a tooth. |
RE: P0335
its throwing out the codes P0335 and P0141. i already reset my ecu. yeah it ran poorly right after i changed the timing belt.

RE: P0335
P0335 is the crankshaft position sensor - no signal. That sensor is near the timing belt on 96+ accord, I think (Will another member verify this?). Is it plugged in and installed properly? Make sure that you didn't pinch any wires when installing the timing belt cover.
The other code is for the O2 sensor. Do you have a shop manual for your accord? In our DIY section, there is a link for 5th gen accords. That shop manual is for a 94, and that CKP sensor is in a different location than a 96. The electrical test might be similar, but I am not sure. The O2 sensor test are identical. |

I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT I HAVE AN H22A SWAP

RE: P0335
Is the engine for a 97-01 prelude?
In our DIY section, there is a thread for online manuals. The spoonhonda link has a download section. There are downloads for the 5th gen prelude shop manual that would have the testing procedures for a P0335 error code. |
RE: P0335
