I believe the EX would have disk brakes in the rear. They're pretty easy. Piston has to rotate to retract, because of the handbrake mechanism inside the caliper. Don't push it in with a C-clamp, that'll ruin the caliper.

If you've done brakes with floating calipers before, this one will be familiar to you. Clean up the caliper slide pins so they work nice.

Make sure the new pads fit nice into the caliper bracket. Sometimes I have to file the pad's steel backing plate so they don't wedge themselves too tightly.

That is correct. All you need is something to rotate it with, it's shaped like a T. I use something flat like a thick mental ruler.

LOL...I had to point out the mental ruler......just kidding around you know, I am sure it was just a typo.

I am curious, what is the floating caliper design?? It might be a term for something I already know about, is it something my 1991 would have??

All the Hondas I know have floating calipers. There's no outboard piston, & the entire caliper slides in & out on its slide pins. So the outboard part of the caliper is simply a sort of hook that pulls the outboard pad in against the rotor.

Ahh, I understand now. So I guess every disc brakes I have ever replaced had these floating calipers, because I only remember doing those with one piston.

Now I know what it is officially called
