Poping Noise up front, NOT CV'S
First off, I have a 97 Honda Accord, it has 250,000 miles on it and I have yet to take it to a shop. But I do have this popping noise coming from the front left side when I stop hard or accelerate hard from a dead stop. I have replaced the CV axles and have already check them so I know those are not it. But I only had time to chekc those and I didnt see anything that stood out to me when i glanced at the suspension and brake set up. So I figured that I would come here for some help before I get back under the car. so any help is apperciated, thanks. Ryan.

RE: Poping Noise up front, NOT CV'S
A common problem with the front suspension is the sway bar end links and the bushings on that bar. Replacement is inexpensive and easy to do. I think that there is writeup in the DIY section.
You can also check for excessive play in the ball joints and tie-rod end links. |
