Quick Question on Taillights
Does anyone know what the tail light bulb piece that "turns and locks" in place is called? When I was removing mine, it snapped.
I only found light bulbs at Autozone. |
Generic term would be bulb socket.
|
Does anyone know the part number for the one with "3 prongs" on it for the wire harness to the bulb socket?
|
For a 5.0 mustang or what?
Check honda parts. you may have to buy a harness assy to get the part. Or go to Junk Yard and pull necessary part and splice to your harness. good luck |

I only found light bulbs at Autozone. I know cause I used to order them for the stores.. |
As an assistant manager at an Autozone in the Des Moines area, I know for a fact that you can get the sockets there. Most stores will even have them in stock and if not will be overnighted to them free of charge to you. The only thing you need to do is pay for the product upfront, or else the vendor may not ship the part.

I stopped by there and they just had the lightbulbs, but that is good to know they can order them.
TexasHonda - This is for a Honda Accord. 5.0stang is my username. I ordered some light sockets (two of them) with different part numbers and they have two prongs on them. Very frustrating, even though according to the diagram it is the correct placement. |
What year is the Accord? Coupe or sedan?
|
1999 Honda Accod - sedan.
|
For a 1999 Accord, sounds like you're probably looking for a brake light/taillight bulb socket for a 7443 bulb, which utilizes 3 wires.
The Honda part number would be 33515-S50-003. |
