Unhappy Radio display is blank

I had a battery changed and now rodio is blank; I see nothing, no CODE on the display, nothing. I checked the fuse & it is OK; I took the negative battery cable off for > 1 minute & reconnected--nothing. I have tried the 1 & 6 bottons at the same time, nothing. I have the CODE numbers but I can't get to where the CODE is displayed on the radio display; does anyone know how to get the radio to display CODE on the display?

This is for a 2003 Accord Coupe LX

Thanks.

Question Same radio problem on 2001 Accord - Help?

Hey, I am having the same problem on a 2001 Accord, the radio does nothing, no lights, no notification of code error. The fuse is OK, the anti theft light blinks, the accessory plug on the same fuse works. Radio will not reset, display serial #, or give an error. Help, please.

I think there is a fuse on the back of the radio. Have you checked that.

I have the checked the fuses at each end of the dash and under the hood. I did not know that there is another fuse box under the dash on a 2001 Accord. Where is the fuse box that you are referring to?

wjs/rickb, did you ever figure this out?

I'm having the same problem with my 2008 Honda Accord... replaced the battery, I have the radio code, but the display is blank... it does not ask for the code!

Key on, turn radio on (power button) and nothing?

Manual for 2003-2007 has 2 pages of diagnostics that revolve around checking fuses, connectors, and wiring for faults. Yours could be different. Suggest purchasing a shop manual for your car if you intend to DIY.

good luck

With your DMM, measure voltage at the radio harness.
Car Radio Constant 12v+ Wire: White
Car Radio Switched 12v+ Wire: Violet

This is a more reliable way than just checking fuses. Measure voltage on both wires (for constant the ignition needs to be turned on) while using the radio ground as reference (i.e. black DMM lead to radio ground wire or radio chassis).

Let us know what you find.
