so this may be a dumb question, but my patience is gone with this bolt. i can't get it to go back in. and after a week of doing this TB/water pump job i thought i was on the home stretch when this little SOB got me. it has a little "nipple" i guess you could call it on the screw, and i can get the bolt in past the "nipple" but it won't actually screw in. please help, the bolt i'm pointing to in the pictureAttachment 20069

That mount bracket may not be lined up exactly with the hole.

Do you still have the jack under the oil pan with a wooden board to disperse the force? Try to raise or lower the engine a bit, so the bolt isn't taking all of the force. You may want to loosen the nut on the left so there is some play in the bracket.

I would suggest loosening up the stud and nut beside it and put a tapered punch in the bolt hole and wiggle it around to better center it. That must not be an easy job as the one on my 95 was stripped out by the dealership and they used a bolt and nut, but I didn’t find that out until 80,000 miles later. You may have to clean up the first couple threads if you have been at it for awhile. I have also tapered the first three or four threads on a bolt so it starts easier, but you may have to clean up the threads with a die or put a nut on the bolt before tapering it and then unthread it. I am just giving you options.

I always used a long pry bar over the radius rod and under the oil pan,[end of prybar pointing down] then you can put your foot on the end of the prybar handle and wiggle the engine up down & sideways. and loosen the other nut so the mount can pivot a little bit.
