Remote srart for 2013 Accord

I am looking to install a remote start on my car and was wondering if I just follow the instructions I'll be fine. There isn't anything that will trip me up I hope.

Hi New Member..welcome to the HAF..

I believe that you just follow the directions and you shouldn't have any problems.. :)

2013 Accord. You will probably need an immobilizer bypass module and the wiring chart. You're basically gonna be splicing into the ignition wires accordingly, pun intended. Be sure to group your wires together using zip ties and electrical tape or auto wire insulation. Otherwise they may get cut and short out.

You may wanna get a small fuse box or use the unused fuse holders in one of the stock fuse boxes if you're good with that sort of thing.

I did a remote start in my car not too long ago and it went pretty well. You can PM me if you have questions. I actually will be doing a remote starter for two friends now.

remote starter

Thank you for you input. I haven't received it yet, but I am looking forward to the challenge. What exactly is a immobilizer bypass module? I take it I will need it to make the thing work.

Yeah. Most modern cars have an immobilizer that keep you from starting the car just by connecting some wires. Basically keep thieves from hot wiring the car. The module temporarily shuts down this feature so that you can run the remote starter.
