Replace suspension parts in pairs?

Hey folks, my '02 has a clunking/popping noise coming from the front end at low speeds when turning or going over uneven roads. It's getting looked at by my mechanic on Friday. Is the consensus that when replacing older suspension parts, you do it in pairs, even if only one side was bad? The car has 110k on it, and this is the first vehicle I have owned that has had suspension/front end issues. Are the 6th gen accords prone to suspension issues? Cheap to fix??

Thanx

i wouldnt replace/waste money replacing parts that are not bad.
Lets me know what ur mechanic says, on my 93 I have the clunking/popping noise when turning the whhel at low speeds too just not over bumps.

For me, it depends on the part. I would inspect the part on the other side to see if it showing signs of wear. If I am doubt, I replace it.

Bigdawg - The anti-sway bar end links sound like a possibility from your description. Maybe the bushings on that bar. It could also be other suspension components. See what your mechanic says.

Ronjr - Your description of the 93 sounds like a possible CV joint problem.

Update:

Well, it ended up being a shim in the brake caliper that was broken. I never would have thought it was brake related. Guess that is why I'm not a mechanic.

PAHonda - thanx, I have had cv joint gone bad and its not a constant clunking sound, its on the right when I turn the wheel almost to lock and start turning back, just one click/clunk noise

I had a kind of clunk grind sound when I turned left at low speeds. Turned out to be a bad hub bearing. Also had a pop and that was busted sway bar endlinks.
