replacing an O2 sensor

OK, so I went down to my local auto parts store and found out I have a bad O2 sensor. I would like to do the install myself and would appreciate any helpful tips for the job. I am driving an 03 accord EX with a 2.4 cyl.

I am new to this forum, soplease let me know if there is any other important info I should be providing.

Thanks

There are 2 O2 sensors.... do you know which one it is?

I was under the impression that there was only one to replace. The guy made it sound like it was close to cat. I am picking up the part later today, I guess I can clarify at that time.

Here is some more info on the problem. Auto Zone indicated a P0141 code. A malfunction exists in the heater circuit for oxygen sensor 2 in bank 1. Sounds like it is on or after the cat. Any special tools needed and will the code need to be reset? Or, do I simply disconnect the battery.

Thanks

Thanks for all the insight on my issue. I think I have a handle on how to proceed from here. Once this is resolved I might even send a sarcastic thank you to my local dealer.

I read that other thread, & Im pretty sure that for 2003 the plug tothe wiring harnessis actually inside the car, under the carpeting beneath the front seat.

you will also need a special socket to remove the sensor

Not if you use a wrench!
