Rough idle/stall at start-up.
I had my throttle body cleaned out because I thought that would fix this problem...but it didn't. The problem is intermittant so it's difficult to determine.
My '89 LX-i starts right up when cold. However, after driving it for a bit and after it's all warmed up, if I stop someplace and turn the engine off, then start it again while still warm, the engine idles extremely rough and sometimes dies. If this happens, I have to put my foot on the gas or put it in gear in order to prevent it from dying, then I can drive it with no problem. It does NOT idle rough when running parked, stopped at traffic lights, etc. It has only ever idled rough during a warm start-up. Again, this problem is intermittent, so it doesn't do this every time. Any guesses? Thanks again. |
