i have a 1990 accord ex 4 door and i checked the code by jumping a wire on connector but i cant find the page that tells what they mean? can you help sir nasty or desert honda thanks dan

It appears to be either an O2 sensor or the VSS, does your cruise/speedometer work? What's the car doing?

Code 9 is NC Speed Sensor electrical fault; coupler, wiring, or sensor. This is not the Vehicle Speed Sensor. It may be a similar type of sensor.

Two flashes should be two long flashes for code 20, since there is no Code 2. Code 20 is electronic load detector circuit fault.

the speedo works after replacing gauges cruise works fine.Car runs ok but trans shifts hard and downshifts hard.I don't know if thats related to the lights or not. I think it is 9 short flashes on the S light

The trans code 9 is 9 short flashes on S-light, as explaned above.

On the TCU: 9 is the NC speed sensor. If you go to the DIY section, there is a link for online manuals. You can download a 91 shop manual as a pdf. The electrical test for the sensor is on page 9-40 and the location of the sensor is on 9-23.

recheck the ECU code. In that 91 service manual, there is no code 20.
