Scan tool advice

What is a good scan tool that will read all codes on a 2000 Accord? I don't want anything more than necessary for a home mechanic but want to be able to read transmission, airbag, etc. codes as well as engine.

just search for an OBD2 scanner... there are a lot of different varieties such as laptop connections or direct readouts.... which one you get is kind of up to you, the biggest difference is going to be that some allow you to clear the codes/reset stuff or adjust mixtures and things like that while some of the cheaper ones are just going to display the codes with no additional information....

OTC genisys will read all those codes with the airbag update option.
that year Accord was still the 'vetronics' ECU but the newer 'teradyne' scan tools will read the codes as well. The teradyne system[newer ECU]was reverse engineered to work all the way back to the 96 vetronic system.

This is what I have, works great with a laptop, very powerful for the money.
