Shop service manual for 94 Accord vs 97 Accord

Hello --

I have a 97 Accord EX Wagon and have been looking to obtain a good shop/service manual my vehicle. Searching on Ebay, I found a reasonably priced electronic version (PDF) of the manual provided by Bishko bundled with the coupe/wagon supplement. Since I have a wagon, this is a big plus.

There is only one issue -- the manuals are for the 1994 version of the Accord. I know the 1994 - 1997 Accords are from the same overall series. How significant are the differences between 94 and 97 model years? Will this make the 1994 version of the shop manual not very useful?

TIA for your advice.

the o.e. does the same thing with combining certain year ranges, when a difference arises, they usually call it out "94-95" or "97 only" that's probably what the manual your looking at does.

There is a different location of the crankshaft position sensor and maybe other sensors.

Also the 1994 is OBD1 and 1997 is OBD2, so you won't get the ObD2 code info, however there is not a lot of difference in the codes when you match the OBD1 and OBD2 codes.

Check the downloads from Online Manuals links in DiY forum. I think the Accord covers 1994-1997 yrs, but some have complained this is an overseas manual.

good luck

Well I just bought it for better or for worse. The item can be viewed here:

/itm/360469989276?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p398 4.m1423.l2649

by putting the ebay domain in front of it.

Worst case scenario is I am out about $35 bucks (with shipping)

And yes I did look on the links for manual downloads. I believe all of the manuals that pertained to me were for either Aussie or UK models.
