Smog test Honda Accord V6 1999

2 Attachment(s)
Hello,

During my recent smog test for a 1999 Honda Accord V6, with 158000 miles
I had barely passed Calif. smog tests.

Does anyone know what the symptons, problems, or remedies for helping pass smog test in next visit.

The HC (PPM) is high for both low rpm, and high rpm.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Assuming no OBD-II codes, I might try an upstream O2 sensor and see if that makes a difference.

See following link for description of high HC problems.

If you have access to a scanner w/ capability to monitor some paramters check Long Term Fuel Trims (LTFT Bank 1 and Bank 2). These can indicate whether problem is rich or lean condition which may suggest a fault.

good luck
