Some Clutch Noise in a 96 accord

I just bought a 2 door 96 accord lx, manual. With a little under 200k. When the car is running there is a squeaking or chirping sound, when I press the clutch, not even all the way down, it stops. Also sometimes or most of the time when im burning the clutch to go into first, the car whines a little. I was thinking the car needs a new clutch & it would take care of both problems. Let me know what you think, thanks.

If it doesnt slip & it engages smoothly (no chatter), then I think its OK.

Unfortunately, your noise might be a throw-out bearing. Gotta take out the tranny for that, so it would be kinda silly to put the old clutch back in after all that work.
