Is it clicking? Grinding?

If it's grinding when you try to unlock it with the switch or remote, it's most likely the door lock actuator ($45/ea or free if you can open it and fix it yourself)

If it's clicking.... could be relays in the door? Multiplex? I have no clue how those things work...

98 EX does have multiplexers to drive some of that stuff. But if you hear the noise, I bet they are OK. Maybe even the lock motors are OK. Theres a push/pull rod from the lock motor over to the actual lock. That can come disconnected, or even broken??

Unfortunately, its a PITA to remove the inner door panel. But you DO have to look around in there to decide if its a simple pushrod problem or a bad lock motor.

RE: Some issues/accord 98

I ordered the actuator of the front doors cuz sometimes opens sometimes doesn’t. I remove those panels b4 but I don’t remember what last thing I did there. I just take my time to remove them cuz they are a little hard to work on them. I also want to share what I did with the car last week to solve the P1738 code. I was looking for garages that only work Honda .I found one garage a little far from home and stayed talking with the owner a little time very honest person so I decide to leave my car to him it took 3 days cuz he works alone. He told me that he notice a small hold of the Trans at the 3er shift and he found that the “”2nd/3rd switch transmission”” was damage it has a green cap color so he replace it with the original one. Part 75$ Diagnostic 25$ labor 25$ all for 125$ a big difference from Honda dealer that want to charge me 900$ and the other place which I send the car for a *free diagnostic* and they want to charge me 2000$ for a rebuild Trans. Right now Im using the car, I scan the car no P1738 codeat all.
