Spark Plug and Cables

Hey,

Thanks in advance, any recommendations on brand of Spark plugs and spark plug cable replacement for 2008 Accord EX 2.4 4 cylinder.

Thanks,

Nestor

Spark plugs should be NGK iridium plugs to match OEM. Note, they are not due until about 105K miles. Are you having problems?

You don't need any spark plug wires since the ignition is coil-over-plug (COP) and does not carry high voltage to each plug. Basically, only harness extends to each COP.

good luck

Texas,

I am not having any problems at this time. I am just getting ready for my tune-up. I do all my own work and looking looking into getting everything ready before I actually do it. I am looking into changing the spark-plugs, spark-plugs cables (not sure if they can be changed), air filter, a/c air filter.

I change the oil every 5K miles using synthetic oil (walmart brand) with Fram oil filter. But it seams that by the time I change it i lost 1 quart of oil and the oil is literally black. I only use my car for driving to and from work, which is literally about 90-100 miles a day. I purchase my Accord Oct 2007 and as of today I have 91,560 miles on it. I do plan on keeping this car until it literally dies on me.

My best friend is a master mechanic and he will be helping me out with any issues I have. I am looking online for a copy of the service manual and have not found one available for download as of yet. I am as you can see new to these forums and am great-full to all of you which have replied and those who will reply to future post.

Thanks again,

Nestor

Oil get's black. It's supposed to carry carbon particles generated in combustion and keep them from being deposited.

You can buy an online manual from ebay seller automanualsource for your car for $21.99. Not free, but a good deal for the OEM manual.

good luck
