Squealling 97 accord

Hi, Bought an Accord 97 auto. Been driving it for a while 165k miles on it. Lately i've been hearing a squealing coming from what seems the front passenger side of the car. Sounds almost like a dying mouse, its at very random times. Need help on what to do. Thanks

First, is it a V-6? The V-6 is so different I wish they hadn't called it an Accord.

V-6 drive belts for alternator etc. are located on the right side of the car. Opposite from where they are on the 4-cyl.

When does it sound? A/c on or off?

Did your check your accs belts for wear?

Usually you will hear thr same kind of noise if your accs belts are too tight or some debris are in the pulley.

It happens whether or not my A/C is on or off, but since it got brought up when i have my A/C on and I'm sitting at a stop. The car makes a rumbling sound...
I have not checked the belts, I don't know what to look for

Check the belts for wear and tension.

For the "rumbling" at a stop when the AC is on. There are several things to check. Do you know if the tune up items are up to date? Also a good cleaning of the TB and IAC can't hurt.

check if there is too much slack or if its too tight. the belt should have just the right amount of slack not too much :) (press the belt, you should be able to depress it about a quarter of an inch or less)

TB = throttle body

IAC= idle air control valve

goodluck
