Also check to see whether that wire has any continuity to ground (it should not).

Here's a long shot... I've occasionally heard of pins within the wiring plugs that push out, almost the reverse of installing those pins into the big plastic plugs. (especially the plugs right at the ECM) With the pin "retracted", it doesn't make proper contact with the mating socket on the ECM.

Finally fixed, with a new ECM

Thank you Jim. I went through most of the wires connected to the ECM computer and made sure they were fully pushed through with their plastic connectors. They all seemed to be very much in their correct place.

But good news! :) The used ECM computer from ebay arrived this pm, I fitted it this afternoon and my Honda fired straight up. No hesitation, it's starting fine for the first time in two weeks. After months of having this problem it's finally fixed and a lot wiser about troubleshooting electrical issues.

Thank you so much for the great support Jim (JimBlake). Also thanks to poorman212 and MessAround. Thank you for prompting me as to what to check. It helped enormously to know I had such great support and kept me moving through the checks to make progress.

Thank you all :)

Thanks for coming back & posting the final fix. All too often we never find out...

I figured that a lot of help ends in no final response and I saw that searching through the history on other posts, but given the genuine help you and others have provided, it was the very least I could do. Plus it gives help to others with a similar no start problem.

Thank you so much and my wife thanks you also, since it's her original car, from back in the day.

I have the same problem, changed the ECM and it didn't work. Do I have to have it programmed to my car even though it came off of an exact same car?

Start a new post with the information about your car, year make model. Two problems on one post makes reading this confusing.
