Stripped Bolt

Ok the bolt that is under the rotor, it holds the suspension to the wheel, and I believe it is a 17mm nut. Well the threads on the bolt are stripped and I was woundering if there was a way I could replace that bolt or rethread it some how. Any help would be great. Thank you

I dont even know if I could take the bolt off. I bought the nuts from the dealer, but the last person who changed that nut put the wrong size nut on the bolt. so now the threads are stripped.

You can use what's called a tap and dye set to "recreate" threads on the bolt. That may possibly change the size of nut that you need to use but at least it will resolve the issue.

Maybe it's the threaded end of a ball joint? If so, the lowerball joint is replacable, the upper you have to replace the whole control arm.
