Sway Bar Bushings and Links
Just picked up a 2000 Accord EX V6. Replaced the sway bar bushings and links. Bushing on this car is 27.2 mm. Very easy to do. Links were a bit more work. The top side was tough to unbolt. Started with my impact wrench first. Bolt eased out slightly until shaft started turning. Then used ratchet and Allen wrench to counter it. Bottom came off fine but ended up stripping the center Allen hole of top 14mm bolt as I was turning the bolt. Ended up cutting it with cutting disk.
Replaced link with sealed type that I got from Import parts store. Other stores (napa, oreilly) had greasable types but prefer I sealed type. Tip: I used the original nut on the bottom side. Its a taller nut and will be easier to grab on to when the time comes to replace the link again. The nut that came with the new link was not as tall. |
Can you please give me some instructions on how to do the same procedure? I have the same vehicle, V6 Coupe, and I'm trying to replace the sway bar end links and bushings.

Can you write up in more detail the procedure for removing and reinstalling the bushings?

Here is a good video on how to do this.

I misread your post. That video is for the links (if you are replacing) and not the bushings. The bushing is in the middle (there are two). Just remove the the two bolts on the strap/cap, remove rubber bushing. Replace bushing, then bolt the metal strap/cap back on.
