throttle cable tension?

After reinstalling the throttle and accelerator cables to the pulley something just doesn't seem right to me. The one cable, as shown in this video I took seems rather excessively loose instead of taught. I can't recall for sure how taught it was before removal, but seems to me the slack as shown here means something's not right. I didn't adjust or turn otherwise the adjusting nuts on the cable from where they were before, so am just uncertain the way it looks now whether its fine or what? Any comments appreciated.

Thanks to PAhonda, see the video below to exactly adjust the cable, tension and slack in it:

Thanks a bunch, faran! Exactly the info I needed. Fantastic. And thanks to PAHonda, and of course to Eric!
I suspected I may need to simply adjust those nuts on the cable, as described in the video, but since I hadn't fiddled with them before I didn't want to just "mess it up worse" by adjusting them if I was uncertain about what I was doing. Good straightforward explanation in the video. thanks again.

Similar problem, Gas pedal coming up high and having to push far before accelerating, if you want to call it accelerating, as pushing to the floor would rarely downshift the tranny. Just by looking at the cables under the hood they looked fine but grabbing them and pulling resulted in almost an inch an a half of slack coming from the sheath. Quickly adjusted the nuts until they near fell off. Definitely have some stretch going on, and will order a new cable tomorrow. Thanks to All.
