Tires screeching low speeds, alignment
Hey guys, well most of you know I been working on this 1991 accord lately and replaced just about everything in the front suspension. Driver side tie rods, both axles, and both lower ball joints. I adjusted the tie rod as much as I could to get it straight.
I then took it to a shop to get an alignment done. They did it on a high tech machine and when I got the car back my girlfriend kept telling me the car was slightly wandering to the left and that the tires would screech at low speeds when turning. I took it back to the shop and told them what was up and they re-checked the alignment and even printed out a data sheet. However, my girlfriend says its wandering to the right now and the tires still screeching at low speeds. I would say when she says screeching I mean chirping, not full blown screeching. Of course one of the tires has inner toe wear but that was probably there before the alignment....(i hope). Anyways, are the tires screeching cause they are just crappy tires that are getting old and warn out. I dont recall the tires screeching on me before I replaced the tie rods. Well....heres the data sheet stats Left Front 0.0 Camber 2.8 Caster -0.02 Toe Right Front -0.9 Camber 2.7 Caster -0.04 Toe Front total Toe -0.06 Steer ahead 0.01 Left Rear -0.3 Camber 0.09 Toe Right Rear -0.6 Camber 0.12 Toe Rear Total toe 0.21 Thrust Angle -0.02 |

Now all we have to do is find one of our members who does alignments here in the forums..

Ok, I'm up for it. Haven't done this in years, so forgive me. The right front camber is "just" within spec (1N-1P and notice the left:again my data maybe outdated). The tyre with wear, right front? Air pressure for all tyres? You list almost everything except the upper ball joints, if you pull/push the front tyres at 12 o'clock, you can do this while it's on the ground just need to push/pull harder, do you see/feel the upper ball joint move...91 and the original???
