torque questions

Ok guys, these are the tools I plan to use to install my spark plugs. How much torque should I add, for the spark plug tool swivel?

do not waste you time torquing the plugs,, i have installed probable thousands of plugs and never used a torque wrench......put a bit of anti seize on the threads, use a hand ratchet ,once they are snug just go about 1/8 turn more and that;s it

But but but:(, I have a torque wrench, so I would like to use it. Thanks anyway DH.

Thanks a lot guys. What I wanted to know is how much should I add for the spark plug tool. I guess it's not that critical. I'm going with 15 ftlbs.

I have just put 6 spark plugs ( Ngk laser iridium izfr6k11 ) pre gaped at 0.044.
I have suspicion that spark plug is hitting piston . Is that possible ? I torued them to 18-20 ftlbs.

Please watch the video.

I use 5w20 max life high mileage volvoline synthetic blend oil.
Is it possible I just should shift to 5w30 and this voice will be normal?
Today temperature outside was 50 degree degree F. Is it possible the viscosity if oil I am using is not enough for the power new spark plugs are giving ?

If oil viscosity increase is the solution, what grade I should use 10w40 is good ?

While I cannot speculate what the issue is, it's a pretty safe bet that changing the oil viscosity won't help, and whatever you do, don't use 10W-40, the 10W part is way too thick for cold starting your engine. I'm thinking 5W-30 (or better still 0W-30) would be as "thick" as you should ever go for your engine.
