Hi, I'm new here so please forgive me if this has already appeared in a thread...

My 91 Accord has 260k on its original windshield, which cracked two weeks ago. It certainly needs replacing. What has the going rate been found to be? Any info is greatly appreciated.

call your local glass shops and compare prices and warranty ,, most of them will come to your place to replace the windshield

 

i cant say for your area. but around here a brand new one will run you about $150. i called several places. the cheapest was about $125 (if i took it to them..more for them to come to my house to install). there were also some more expensive ones...$200+. i dont know if the 'you get what you pay for' saying applies to windshields. i went with a cheaper one.

 

a new windsheild for my 92 cost around $230 but that was brand new glass, installation and all, also collision insurance so I didnt pay out anything.
