Trans Slip

Does the Type Z trans fluid work better than the Dextron III with the additive for hondas in it? My 01 with 85000 miles is starting to slip going into 3rd gear. I have changed the fluid twice but used the additive instead of Type Z.
Will flushing the old out with Type Z help?
