Transmission died

1998 Accord 160,000 miles. Timing belt replaced at 73,000. The transmission need to be replaced. I can have it done for 2200.00 with a used trannie with 75000 miles on it. Is it worth it and should i have the timing belt done again while they are at it? The book price for the car in excellent cond is only about 1600.00. Not sure which way to go! Help

Is it a V6 or 4-cylinder accord?

Depending on how much you like the car, and how long are you going to keep it. $2,200 for a used tranny is a little bit high, you can have it rebuild with at least 1 yr warranty for around that price.
