TRANSMISSION DRAIN/FILL
 

I HAVE AN 02 HONDA ACCORD SE THAT I'M GOING TO CHANGE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID. SHOULD I DRAIN THE FLUID AND REFILL THEN DRAIN AND REFILL AND IF I DO SHOULD I DRIVE IT THROUGH THE GEARS BEFORE DRAINING IT THE SECOND TIME. IF SO THEN IS THERE SOME SORT OF SEQUENCE I SHOULD SHIFT THROUGH BEFORE I DRAIN IT? SORRY IF CONFUSING.

You could just warm it up and do a drain and refill with 2.8 quarts of Honda Z-1 atf.
but yes, to get a better exchange of fluid you could do it twice; drain refill, then drive it around for 10-15 miles and repeat.
On a rebuild of a tranny it holds over 7 quarts to fill up TC, valve body, andeverything; and on a drain and refill it's only a little less than 3 quarts
