RE: Transmission Problem.

Well I have put about 2000 miles on new transmission. All is well. Just wanted to pass on the good news to everyone. Wheels still rub...and you know what... new rims seam to attract cops. Car handles soooo much better.....I have a really important question for anyone who can help....I own also a 2005 accord EXL....Big deal right well I want to improve handling and ant to start with wheels. So what I want is to put under the car 245 45 17R...Can anyone tell me if they fit.. I have acura wheels (id say they are one style behind whats current) and I believe the offset is standard (53mm), but much more than honda (42mm or 43mm) wheels. anyway I am hoping they will fit because if 225 handles like this then 245 will handle much better. cant wait, hope to hear for the right people on this one. thanks

Hi sir_nasty!
I drive 2000 Honda Accord LX 4 doors automatic with 96,000 mileages. I'm the single owner and well maintained, all maintenance and tuning done by same Honda Dealer only. In last oil-change dealer identified like I need replace transmission, also I need start feeling jerk and slipping while merging with traffic i.e. say 0 to 20 mph after that driving is smooth. But engine light is good i.e. Not turned on yet.
Dealer suggesting remanufactured transmission with warranty 3years or 36,000 mileages cost around $2600 including labor. My question do I need to change transmission very soon or go with transmission flush and once Engine light turned ON then I need to go for remanufactured transmission. (fyi, I did transmission flush @ 85,000 mileage).
Please advice!

Did you end up having to pay for the tranny? if it's bad are they going to get you another one or was it an aftermarket one? (used)

D4 flashing, transmission problem P0700

Hi all , Once again same problem as edison-99...
I have d same problem like u. Have Honda accord 2000. Was running perfect till yesterday without having any problem at all. suddenly in d yesterday morning D4 light was flashing and I have to push the gas paddle hard to move it from stop- to running, but once rolling, no problem in 2,3 or 4 th gear. While coming back from the work- problem was gone...no D$ flashing light...no problem in any thing...just decided to check the problem...went to Autozone and figured out P0700- does that mean my transmission is dead?? but my car is running perfectly fine now?? what shoud I do? I trully need your help...

Thanks...

P0700 is a generic auto-trans error. It's usually accompanied by another code that's more specific. So there wasn't any others?

Edison100- got new code- P0780

got new codes- P0780 , P0700, P 01164
Does that mean my traanny died... but car runs fine without any problem... Is there ne chance of false code light...or temporary problem due to exceesive cold in d morning?

For no w I asked mechanic to reset it and till now check light is not back...car is running fine!! any suggestion...pls

Thanks,
