trouble starting

my gf's 2000 accord ex v6 coupe has had trouble starting now for the past 6 months maybe, doing it more now. it seems to do it whenever shes been on the go all day. shell go to start it and if it does start it will putter a little bit then barely crank and if you dont go then, then it will cut off or itll putter a little bit if you stop again soon. if it doesnt crank then it will almost do it but just wont do it.

we've had a couple ppl look at it, the first guy said she needed to clean her egr valve. still did it. so she got a new one. still did it. another guy looked at it and said they didnt order the right cleaning kit to clean the egr valve. we didnt go through with that one. the next guy said she just needed the platinum spark plugs or whatever and that she had the crappy ones. didnt work. now she has this master diagnostics guy from a toyota dealership wanting to look at it and laughing about the guy before just like all the others did lmao.

so, my question being, has anyone else experienced this or does anyone know what it could be and how we could get this fixed instead spending tons of money on this and that. sorry for the lengthy first post.

I'm having similar problems and have been pretty much jerked around by anyone who's looked at it. One garage cleaned the fuel system and replaced the starter. The dealership replaced the master fuel relay. Another garage replaced the egr valve and cleaned the egr ports. The problem is still there. A mechanic my mom knows just checked my coils and said they were good but that I had 5 loose spark plugs. He tightened them and I'm going to drive it tomorrow and see what happens. He said if that's not it then I needed to replace both oxygen sensors. That's not going to happen. I'm done throwing money at it at this point. If I have any more problems I'm car shopping tomorrow evening. Good luck with your car.

Does her car have a distributor?

Also, stop by a parts store and have them scan for codes. Post any codes on here. They start with the letter P and have four numbers, like P1234.

When the car is having problems starting, is the starter spinning the engine at the normal rate?
