turn signal in 03 accord

my front right turn signal went out in my accord. i checked walmart, and it appears its a 1157 bulb (i think that was the number anyways). well the previous owner had a spare PIAA 1157 bulb in the trunk. i tried to get the old one out but i just couldnt get my hand all the way up there. is there an easier way to get this thing out? or maybe could i just remove the housing?

also, should i be concerned that theres a spare bulb in the trunk? i mean, it was a 2 pack and one was missing. i kinda made me wonder if there might be an electrical problem, because these bulbs really arent supposed to blow very often. and there is a spare...

i hope youre not talking about the YEAR and MODEL of my vehicle, because it says it in the title FYI. if you want more info, its a 2-door 3.0L vtec V6 6speed MT, but i deemed the rest of that info irrelevant to the situation so i omitted it...

yes but you should state it in your sig(even though you dont have one) might be a good time to make one :)

it's so that others don't have to look back to your first post to know what car we are talking about

**This is correct and should be done by members who want questions answered more quickly... **

Now that all this silly CRAP is over & done how does the guy replace the bulb? I haven't had to do one yetand it might assist me too. I normally buy a two pack so I'll have a spare, that shouldn't be a concern.

Fat Ryan: I took a look at your posts and noticed that most of what you post bashes others ideas for things that they want to try. Also you ask noob questionsyet act as a self-proclaimed expert on whever you are ranting about because you are an engineering student and have a big amp in your car. You need to be a bit more humble and realize that everyone has their specialties and a specialist is going to bemore knowledgablethan a generalist on their particular topic. Also, to waste my time with this much crap because you want to be "special" is not only childish, but really annoying. Personally, I think that you start arguements to get posts so you can tell your buddies how you have 5 stars on HAF ..... well, go for it!!! You only need a few more!!!!

As for my asking you to put together a signature -- at least I gave you a response!!!!

RTexasF: I have a 6th gen, so I'm not sure about your car. Bulbs are typically very easy to replace and I've only seen 2 types of sockets on Hondas. Most need a partial counter-clockwise turn and pull right out and the other type has a metal wire clip that gets hooked under a piece of plastic that holds the metal tight to the bulb. If I come across better info I'll let you know.

... i really dont know anything about hondas?

Hey look, we agree on something! You come here as a noobie, want to chalange rules that make it easier for others to help you, say that I am lazy for not bending to your will and cause problems.

btw --- Tell your electromechanical physics professor that capacitors don't do anything to buffer the electrical system of a car so you can get teabaged by a true expert on the subject.

... putting it in my sig would take me all of 5 seconds. i just hate it when people on online forums get their panties in a bunch over something as dumb as this. its not going to take any more time or effort for a replyer to look at the first post to see the year and model of my car than to determine who is the original posterand look atmy sig. for someone to give me a hard time about this is them just being an asshole.
aka --- looking to start problems by intentionally not following rules and conventions.

Now rethink all of those nasty things that you've said to me and names that you've called me. I'm the one who should be banned? I was the only person who didn't ignore you for your refusal to post a signature. Good luck in college with that attitude of yours!
