Type 2 Coolant...
Well I bled it a second time yesterday. Overnight it cooled down and the coolant shrank rapidly. This morning I saw it sucked in about 1/3rd of what was in the reservoir because while I was bleeding on Sunday night the coolant expanded slightly into the funnel. I had to remove the funnel and store the excess coolant in a separate bottle because I was tired of waiting for the coolant to shrink as the engine cools. After I removed the funnel the coolant shrank rapidly and I had to keep topping it off.
So this morning I topped off the reservoir and the rad, took it to work and the temps were great. Heat was hot and toasty. Same story on the way home. No leaks either. Maybe it can still overheat later? But I'll worry about that when it happens. I think this is a good sign the bleeding was successful. Now I have a whole lot of fresh blue Honda coolant in the system and a cool learning experience.
