WATER EVAPORATION FROM RADIATOR
 
just got a 94 honda accord with some problems first water just keep evaporating from radiator and it overheats.
installed a new radiator water pump and timing belt timing is okey just don't know where the water is going fill the overflow bottle also and that too was empty please help?

try replacing the thermostat...if it has zonked out then it probably failed in the closed position. when you do spend the extra few bucks and get a fail-safe thermostat, if it fails it will do so in the open position for antifreeze to still flow. also make sure t he system has all of the air bled out of it.

will this help in keeping water in radiator or is there a leak somewhere in coolant system? how can i check for leaks? was told it could be a blown head gasket please help with this problem.

Does the car steam when it's warmed up? Like there is a pinhole leak and it's coming out and being burned off?

Head gasket check: In the morning before starting your car open the radiator cap and look at the coolant. Does there appear to be a rainbow looking film on the top? Use a flashlight and check, if you see this then there may be some oil in the coolant (head gasket). Also, check the oil dipstick, is the oil white/milky/murky looking? Or is it all dark?
