Water Pump Question
Just finished purchasing OEM timing belt parts from Delray Acura online... now looking to pick out a water pump (most online Acura dealers don't carry them).
I know hondadude has brought up the fact that cast water pump impellers aren't as good as the stamped OEM ones, but at a $100+ difference, is it really worth it?
Honda eStore has one at our local dealer for $181 shipped... (I'm assuming it would be cheaper to actually go to the dealer and order it)
Rockauto.com has a Gates pump (w/ cast aluminum impeller) for $40 + shipping
It's for a J30A5 Acura MDX with about 100k on it. I'd just google the part number, but I can't seem to track it down from my usual sources.
Advice is appreciated, would like to order by the end of tomorrow.

I've used the GMB water pumps (several sources on ebay) w/ good results. They have a stainless impellor (recollection). I've had one accord water pump begin to leak a few drops, but never had a pump failure (squeaking w/ large leak).
good luck

I found the picture, but the parts list was missing the pump itself. Did you call any of those places & ask?
I've also bought stuff from A&H Motorsports too. www dot ahmotor dot com
... but now I can't find a parts catalog on their website. Try a phone call?
