weird electrical issue
 

new to owning hondas. I have a 95 lx accord. JUst replaced the computer in it as it was fried. drove it 10 miles. drove great. started driving it this mourning for a few miles the the car started stumbling and deid. got it started again but when you give it gas the tech gauge goes crazy and it sputters. If i but the car in park it will start fine, idle fine, but when you give it gas the tech and the speedo gauges go crazy. not sure what is going on. Any help would be great.

Is this a V6 or 4-cylinder?

What were the symptoms you had before you swapped the ECU? What was the OEM part number for the old and new ECU?

Have you checked for engine codes? See the common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum for info.

PAhonda there is no engine codes the old ecu and new one have matching part numbers. dont remember the numbers off hand. the reason i swapped the ecu in the first place was the car ran then throw a bunch of engine code all to once and then would not start. so i opened it up and the board was burnt in a few spots

I would start testing the ignition system - ICM and coil tests would be my starting point.
