Wet Passenger Side Floor

I have a 1995 Honda Accord EX with a sunroof. I have tried putting a long wire and blowing air through the 2 front sunroof drain holes, but my carpet is still getting wet. I pulled the carpet back and the majority of the water seems to be form the front right corner.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Are you sure its water and not coolant? If its coolant, than your heater core is leaking

Do you live in an area where you are using the a/c right now?

Try cleaning the a/c evaporator drain hose. The hose comes out of the firewall of the engine sort of below the charcoal canister. Use a pipe cleaner or a coat hanger to clear any debris out of there?

My car hasn't been overheating and the liquid seemed to only be clear water. It's also 30 degrees here so I'm not using the AC. Does the whole unit run even when I turn the heat on?

Not sure about 1995, but later years the AC would turn itself on when you selected DEFROST as the direction for the air to blow.

That same drain might also have to handle rainwater or melted snow that gets into the ventilation cowling.

I didn't drive my car for a day and put towels under my carpet to catch any liquid. The floor seems dryer and the liquid rang out is water. I check my AC drain tube and that is also clear. We had a couple weeks here where the weather went into the single digits. Could that be a possibility? I also had a new windshield put in a couple months ago. They are part of the Better Business Bureau, but still have doubts because some plastic pins that hold the cover on the bottom of the windshield were missing.

I just pulled my backseat and there was a puddle of water on both the right and left side.

I think that there are two rear sunroof drains that you should check. I think that they drain to the rear wheel well. Check both areas

Could be the drains, or several other places like the glass that was recently replaced. Don't have good pic's the the locations of the drian valves. Some will say to use compressed air (low psi, don't need to blow the tubes off).. I've always found it best to clean the "valves" at the end, where the water comes out. The front are behind the plastic "inner wheel well"...the rear are kind of between the bumper and the body....insert a zip tie, weed eater line, something soft to removed the clogg.

drainage holes 2018 Honda Accord

After noticing a sloshing sound while driving I found that a good bit of water had collected on the passenger side floor both front and back. I was told, at the dealership where I bought the car, that because I lived under trees I was "negligent", their words not mine, and should have known that leaf debris collecting in the cowling would affect the sunroof drainage. And if I wanted it fixed I had to pay them $2000 to rip up the carpet and vacuum out the water that had collected under the flooring. The gm pointed out to me these two nearly invisible pin holes in the cowling. If it is not in the owner's manual, how was I supposed to know ? Has anyone had any luck in appealing an issue like this ? Do you think another dealership would respond differently ?
