What changes will I expect?

So I ordered a P28 chipped ecu. Will there be any changes to my car since that means Ill be switching to OBD1?
Will my ultragauge work still?
And what about inspections?
Will there be sensors that won't work anymore? (other than the ones deactivated by the chip)
Will things like cruise control not work if the P28 came from a car without cruise control?
Or is everything on the chipped ECU now written for my car, so it has the info from my current ECU with modifications on it?

What laws are in NY about this?....oh, I now see you asked this. Some states will not let you pass, I could get away with it where I live but each state/county/parish can and does have different laws.

I "think" there is a conversion harness that should take care of the wire issues.

Yes, I ordered the conversion harness. I'm just wondering if the car is technically changed to OBD1 with that ECU or if the chip is able to make it OBD2 since that will have my cars data in it.
I'm not sure about NYs laws. I know I cannot tamper with the emissions sensors. But this is technically not tampering. But I dont know what counts really.
