Battery Ground is SO Important
My car 2001 Accord V6, 180K miles. I replaced the battery and alternator 6 months ago. The SRS lights have been working intermittently for years, plus other electrical maladies. My battery died and alternator output was 13.0V, I had bad transmission shifting. I found out with a volt meter that the battery ground cable was bad to the frame and block. Cleaned the connections and added a new ground strap to the engine block- darn if it didn't fix ALL the electrical problems. I was showing a 1 volt difference from battery negative to block, and a 2 amp resistance (block to battery). Amazing difference- back to 14.5VDC at the battery. Do this first

Welcome to HAF!
This is so true in newer cars. Have to have good stable electric power otherwise all kinds of flaky things can happen.
But I moved this out from the other thread. That was about a 1983 Accord with a carburetor so I think your advice applies more to newer cars.
