what timing belt kit for 2001 accord?

Thanks for being here... I'm going by the message my husband left in order to order a timing belt kit on Amazon. The car is a 2001 Accord EX 2.3 l -L-4 (S OR 5) FI OHV.

If this makes any sense to you, could you give me a list of what's needed in ordering a kit? Amazon mentioned letters on the engine. He won't be home till later and I need to get this ordered. Any help would be so great.

Thanks in advance

I'd say the timing belt, balance shaft belt, the tensioner pulleys, and the water pump are items you will definitely want to replace. The shaft seals are something you may want to replace and definitely if they are leaking.

The Aisin kit on Amazon has OEM belt and tensioner parts and high rating from users.

good luck

Enough with the kits IMO. Honda engines run for a long time, thus cut to the chase and do it right with parts from the dealer. T-belt, water pump, balancer shaft belt and the two drive belts. Have the cam, balancer shaft and crank seal inspected while the covers are off as all can be easily replaced. Also inspect the gear box for the balancer for leaks.
