what's Ideal Honda Accord mileage?

Hi folks,

I recently brought a 1992 honda accord . Its behaving well. But i think it's giving low mileage.
According to my estimates it gives 7-8 kms per litre. Is it normal for it's age or below par?

looking for your opinion
Thanks

Automatic tranny?

That's around 18 miles per gallon, which seems kinda low.

But that depends on your type of driving (city, hills, what?) and it depends VERY strongly on your driving habits. If you're in the city all the time (stop & go), and you always hammer it when you start, it might be reasonable.

I'd say unless you are driving at full throttle then full brake the whole time then you should get at least low to mid 20's (at least 22 MPG)... If you're not anywhere near that and you don't have any check engine lights or anything on I'd start with a basic tuneup, spark plugs, rotor, cap and maybe some fuel injector cleaner
