where is the blower motor resistor 2003

Ok, the blower motor quit working. It works when plugged directly to a 12 volt battery. I took it to the dealership and the service writing underhandedly told me it was the resistor. He would not give me any more information. I have the blower motor out. Where is the resistor? Thanks.

I don't know specifically on that model, but resistor is usually on the blower or evaporator housing nearby. Relatively large and hard to miss. Follow connector from blower backwards.

good luck

In this pic it is number 11 I'm fairly certain it is in the top of the ducting to the drivers side of the blower unit.

Thanks, I found it to the back left of the blower attached with 2 screws to the firewall on the inside. Changed the resistor and now I have AC again.

Sorry to pull up such an old thread...

but may ask about the problem that you had... cuz my AC is not working and i wonder if that is the same case as yours was...

in addition, someone told me it could be the Blower Motor Resistor that is causing my problem??

Does the blower work at any speed or not at all? Did the blower quit working suddenly or did you gradually lose 1 fan speed after another?

Try thumping the blower module w/ your hand. If the blower starts and runs, the blower brushes are worn out. They are not replaceable and a new blower motor is necessary.

good luck
