Default Where Does The Dip Stick Go?!

Yes, I just asked that. When my mechanic did my timing job, he never finished it. He left the timing cover off and told me to finish putting it all back together. That's fine by me, and I know where the dip stick actually goes, but I can't find where it's supposed to be fastened down too. Right now it's just chillin' between the alternator and the power steering pump. I know it's a hella newb question, but still. I can't figure out for the life of me where the damn thing goes!

Help is appreciated.

See attached pic. It should be placed behind the power steering pump.

Well, to explain further, he replaced the timing belt and timed it, then we found out there were bent valves. I'm at his shop everyday, and I was doing most of the work on the car. I just couldn't time it, I didn't want to trash the motor (Turns out the head was already trashed, but you know what I mean) Oh well. However that was three months ago, and now the car is just getting put back together... respectively money was tight, being 17 and trying to buy a new top end for your car isn't easy haha
