whistling sound when accelerating
 
hey guys whenever i accelerate hard i hear a whistling sound coming from the engine, kind of like if air is escaping somewhere, not sure if its the intake or what. also when am in neutral and i rev the engine as soon as i coming off the gas it sounds as though the car is "blowing off". a loud pfffff is heard worrysome seeing the car is NA. can anyone offer any support??

yea did a lil research on it, and sounds very feasible based on the problems. I have sourced a replacement pcv, the job seem like a DIY but would u recommend i get it professionally done considering there may be more to it than meets the eye.

No, you pull the PCV valve off the valve cover, remove the hose clamp and pull the hose off the PCV.

It could be a leaking intake manifold gasket... they like to whistle. Spray carb cleaner on at the manifold-to-head seam. If the idle changes, replace the gasket.
