Windshield washer +Rear demister

Hi ,ive not long bought a 2004 2.0ltr estate /tourer (always wanted one)uk model
and have a few small problems with it
1.windscreen washers dont work, headlamp washers are fine and rear window ones are ok,removed pipes from front jets to check if they were blocked but still nothing, checked fuse, again ok ,are there seperate pumps ?
2.rear defroster /mister not working checked fuse, ok,light comes on switch.
3.drivers side electric seat heater not working, passinger side is fine
any suggestions appreciated.

1. Have someone use the washer while you listen for the little pump to run...should be a slight "humm" from the pump.

2. Did you check the under hood fuse box as well? There are a two fuses in there that power up the relay and then the defroster. Also inspect the "grid" on the glass for any breaks/cuts in it.

3. Does the "light" for the pass seat heater light up?

I'm using what I know about the US version, just want to be clear. Do you have a volt meter to do some testing when needed?

Hi,no i cant hear a hum so probably is the motor just couldnt understand why the other washers are working, yes i do have a multi meter so i will check if im getting power to the pump,
passenger and drivers side switches light up on hi and low on seat heaters so im thinking its probably the heating element damaged
cant see any breaks in the rear demister grid looks like i will have to remove a few panels on the rear tailgate to check for power to demister, just wasnt sure if there was something else i might be missing

There is a relay in the underhood fuse box that controls the rear defrost.
