Embedding Pictures in Posts

I have noticed that I can't embed images in my posts anymore, yet some other users can do this.

How do I configure my account to be able to do this?

Thanks

Well, in FireFox you can right click on an image, select "Copy Image Location" and then paste that into the picture dialog box. This only works for images that are already on the web, not pictures on your computer.

I believe there is also something you have to change in your account options to enable the picture button, along with the quote, link, and text formatting buttons.

Find your picture on the web somewhere, or PUT it out on some picture-hosting place.

Right-click the picture, select & copy the complete URL of the picture. It'll look something like this:
https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/for...nsertimage.gif

Right above the text box where you're typing, find the picture-insert button that looks like THIS:
https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/for...nsertimage.gif
Paste your picture's URL into the box that pops up.

If I want to post my own pic in the body of the post and not have it "thumbnailed", I use photobucket and copy and paste the image.

Ok, that picture button worked. I never noticed it. Thanks.

Just for complete information, that method has it's shortcomings. If the website where you find the picture changes around or re-organizes their content, the picture might turn into a red-X after a year or 2.
