AEM V2 intake
I have a 09' V6 and I was wondering what kind of HP numbers (if any) I could expect out of a AEM V2 Cold Air Intake for a little over 300 dollars and 2 hours of my time. Also any one know of an exaust for it yet?
Thanks, JPX |
You'll get a few, but intakes dont provide eye popping hp in most non performance vehicles. The V2 is quite a bit better than AEM's sri and cai from what I have read/heard. If you have the money, I would def. get it. However, you'll also be happy w/ a sri or cai.

If im not mistaken thats my only option right now.

Yep... why not save the money on negligible power gains and gets some coilovers?
I think I saw that Ksport Kontrol coils are out for the 8th gen... maybe Function/Form too. |
sorry for the ignorence but what benefits does coil overs provide?
|
Ouch!! i just looked these things up and lets just say the 330 for the intake seems like a sunny day compared to the 1300 for these. Are they really worth that kind of cash?
|
Coilovers are definitly worth the money. The benefits are a nice drop on ride height and better handling response, turning, cornering etc.
|
^^^ corner balancing, customized handling/ride ...... and I can get a new EDFC cheap if you get the Tein SS-P setup ..... when they release it for your car.
|
Tein is only good for the EDFC... their products are too soft for my tastes. The F2 coilovers have gotten great reviews, but are stiffer than most. I think you can get custom spring rates when you order them.
|
The SS setup that I had on the accord would flat slide if I turned it past 13, so IMO it goes hard enough. Also, harder doesn't always mean better handling.
