Default cat and resonator delete

Hi guys,
I have a 06 accord coupe v6 and I want to do cat and resonator delete because I want louder sound. Does anyone know whether it is gaining or losing HP? I'm afraid of losing horsepower. thank you very much.

Read this article. If you want sound, change the piping and mufflers. If you want power, get a catback.

Oh, I see. Thank you. So, by removing the catback I will get bigger horsepower rather than the OEM cat, right?

A cat back exhaust bolts on after your OEM catalytic converter,Hence the name "Cat back".You can get an High flow cat, such as a magnaflow to get better flow.

Get a header, hi-flow cat, and catback/custom piping to get a louder sound...

Removing the cat is pointless and harms the environment. Removing the resonator will likely give you the raspies, a longer resonator (22"-28") will give you a deeper grumble.

Headers are out of the question for the OP accord.

I believe that there are upgraded J-pipes available ..... I think thats what they-re called ..... secondary header pipes ..... 2-1.
