Custom Air Intake for 2004 Accord EX v6

I own a 2004 Accord EX V6 Model. I am wanting to make a DIY / Custom intake system. I have found several parts that can be bought at any regular old Auto Zone store.

From the Intake Manifold i was going to use a 22degree elbow. This is to make the intake angle down towards the wheel-well.

From the 22 degree elbow there will be a 4in long tube.

Then from that 4in tube will be the air filter.

And of course i will also need a Crankcase filter.

This intake is meant to be very simple and not expensive, while allowing the engine to pull more air, than compared to the Stock Intake. Please tell me what you think.

Ive looked at those at AutoZone and thought that with a bit of insight ...one could make something like that work..If it does work for you..I'll want you to do a step by step make it post for the DIY thread..what do you say.?

Sure, I would be more than happy to make a step by step DIY tutorial. I have taken a lot of measurements and this in theory should work just fine. My only worry is how it will perform. With how cheap these parts are I could easily make a whole cold air intake that goes deep into the wheel well, but for my first time I had planned on this just being like a short RAM intake.
